According to rumors, the M2 will also appear in the MacBook Air and Pro and Mac Mini and iMac families this year. As usual, Apple has not yet revealed anything about the performance and architecture of the new processor, but it is speculated that the M2 processor will be slightly faster than the M1 announced in November 2020, and may have nine or ten graphics cores instead of seven or eight.

In any case, Bloomberg’s reporter probably not mistaken, as some Taiwanese sources have already announced last year that the Staten-code called M2 is in its way. Furthermore, the Apple will launch new processors with 18-month product update cycles.

According to information from the display supply chain, Apple is reviving the all-in-one with a 120GB image refresh (ProMotion) mini LED display that customers can request for an M1 Pro or M1 Max processor. After that, the next wave of upgrades for the MacBook Air series may arrive next fall. The cheaper device will be the first to get the M2 processor, and Apple is reportedly renewing the design of the devices.
